January 14th, 2019 by

The VW Tiguan comes in four different trim levels. They are the S, R-Line, SE, and SEL. This means you have four choices of features that suit your unique needs.

2016 VW Tiguan S
The S, which is the base trim of the 2016 VW Tiguan, comes with a 2-liter I-4 engine and is front-wheel drive. It has 200 horsepower, ABS and driveline traction control, front air conditioning, driver and front passenger heated seatbacks and cushion, first-row LCD monitor, V-Tex leatherette seat trim, driver and passenger lumbar support, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated mirrors, and remote keyless entry.

2016 VW Tiguan R-Line
The upper trims add on to the features included in the base trim. The R-Line upgrades the wheels to 19-inch silver aluminum wheels, adds Sirius XM satellite radio, and adds front fog/driving lights.

2016 VW Tiguan SE
The SE adds a first- and second-row exterior express open and close sliding and tilting glass sunroof. The wheels are 18-inch silver aluminum wheels. A navigation system is added.

2016 VW Tiguan SEL
The SEL bumps the wheels back up to 19 inches and adds dual zone Climatronic automatic temperature control, leather seat trim, and parking assist.

Other Features and Options
Other features can include a rearview camera and a Fender premium audio system. There have been a number of changes from the former Tiguan in order to make it more competitive in the market. It is a good balance between features and price.

The trims also come with different options, such as each trim being available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It depends on what you need and how it coincides with your budget.
